Modern Warfare 3‘s Battle Rifles can be a great alternative to the ever-popular Assault Rifles, packing plenty of damage at long range but with a slightly lower magazine capacity. In fact, some of the game’s best guns have fallen into this category and they remain a powerful option in Season 3 Reloaded.

5. Cronen Squall

The Cronen Squall comes with easy-to-control recoil.

This additional rate of fire narrowly gives the MTZ the edge over the BAS-B, so if you want a BR that feels a little more like a traditional Assault Rifle, this is the gun for you.

2. Sidewinder

The Sidewinder was the most hated weapon in the game before its AMP arrived.

After being the most disrespected gun in MW3, the Sidewinder shot up in popularity due to the Season 1 JAK Thunder LMG Kit Aftermarket Part, just like the MTZ-762. The AMP transforms it into an LMG with greater ammo capacity and a major increase in its fire rate, completely transforming the weapon.

When equipped with its best loadout, the Sidewinder’s recoil, ADS speed, and mobility can be improved significantly, allowing you to kill far-off enemies with precision. Don’t let the initial hate put you off, this underrated rifle has slowly become one of the top choices with the right build.

The SOA Subverter claimed the best Battle Rifle spot after its release.

After taking over Warzone’s meta when it first arrived, the SOA Subverter also secures the title of best Battle Rifle in MW3 Season 3 Reloaded, capable of dealing lethal damage across mid to long ranges. Despite being a Battle Rifle, this weapon feels like an AR allowing you to pick off enemies at any distance with ease.

On top of that, its ridiculously low recoil means you’ll have no trouble consistently hitting your shots to achieve its best TTK. All in all, the Subverter is a top-tier choice that can go toe-to-toe with virtually any other gun in the game.
