EA FC 24 players praise Black Friday event as “best promo in FUT history”
EA SportsEA FC 24 hasn’t always attracted praise from the community since its launch. However, Ultimate Team’s Black Friday event appeared to be a massive hit among fans.
EA FC 24 Ultimate Team celebrated Black Friday in style. The mode received a ton of content around Black Friday including the Thunderstruck promo, Best of Campaigns, new promo packs in the store, and more. The devs even added some special SBCs featuring Thunderstruck cards for Frenkie de Jong and Kenny Dalglish among others.
The selection of players that arrived with the Thunderstruck promo was particularly impressive, as the likes of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Puskas, and Thierry Henry were all available in packs. One player even managed to pack two Thunderstruck Icon cards while spending just 30 coins.
All this and more encouraged players to jump into Ultimate Team to earn these cards. There was a noticeable buzz within the community around Black Friday, indicating that the event was a success for EA Sports.
Some EA FC 24 players have praised the devs for their efforts. An X account by the name of EAFC 24 News even claimed that “this has been one of if not the best promo in FUT history.”
Many users in the replies felt the same, with one saying, “Best promo in years, probs since the original Futties.” Another stated, “The fact I was actually able to pull big players like Hemp, Lukaku, Musiala makes it even better. W EA.”
Despite the positivity, there were complaints regarding the pack weight during the promo. While there was a vast selection of special cards on offer, some players claimed that they received nothing.
One player expressed their disappointment saying, “So much content..And not packing anything really worth…just incredible.” They weren’t alone in feeling left out as another player stated, “Considering the volume of promo players, pack weight has been woeful.”
However, most players were pleased with EA Sports’ Black Friday content, although it seems like the pack weight could have been better.
