Diablo 4 has different classes that are suited for different playstyles. However, the effectiveness of a class can change during different stages of the game. This tier list will show you the best classes in Diablo 4, no matter where you’re at in your playthrough.

Diablo 4 Season 4 has recieved massive praise from players, with many claiming that the latest changes have completely fixed the game.

Alongside the Loot: Reborn theme, D4 also saw some buffs and nerfs to the classes. So, here is our tier list of all the classes in Diablo 4 Season 4, so you know which are the best.

Diablo 4 Class tier list

SNecromancer
ABarbarian
BSorcerer
CDruid
DRogue

This tier list was determined by taking Leveling, Endgame, and Speed Farming builds into account for each of these classes. They all have strengths this season depending on what your goals are, but some just shine more than others.

1. S Tier – Necromancer

Necromancers take the top spot this season, and it’s largely due to their incredible potential with Minions. They’re still one of the slowest classes in the game, but that stops mattering when your army of the undead is annihilating everything around you. They’re a fairly easy class to get the hang of, too, making them a great choice for both beginner and veteran players.

Strength: Leveling, Nightmare Dungeon
Best builds: Summoner, Pentador

Necromancer has shot to the top of the list in Season 4.

2. Barbarian – A Tier

Barbarians have been the strongest class in Diablo 4 since launch, and they’re still nothing to scoff at. They have incredible damage output capabilities and endgame builds, and while their survivability has fallen off slightly, they’re still tough to take down. This alongside their potential in Masterworking, Tempering, and general item strength, makes them one of the best classes in Diablo 4 still.

Strength: Speed Farming, Nightmare Dungeons
Best builds for S4: Double Swing, Dust Devil

Barbarian Diablo 4
Barbarians are still a strong choice for Season 4.

3. Sorcerer – B Tier

Sorcerer is a nicely well-rounded class to play with in Season 4. They are easy to level with, have a good amount of strong builds for early to endgame, and their teleport gives them some really good mobility. They fall off a little in the endgame this season, but overall, they’re still a great pick.

Strength: Leveling, Speed Farming
Best builds for S4: Arc Lash, Blizzard

Sorcerers in Diablo 4
Sorcerer is a nice all-rounder despite falling a bit flat in the endgame.

4. Druids – C Tier

Druids are still struggling with the same issues they have in previous seasons. Their mobility is still one of the worst to play with, and they can be a frustrating class to level with. Their saving grace and the reason they’ve gone up a tier this season is because they have one of the best endgame builds for Season 4.

Strength: Speed Farming, Nightmare Dungeons
Best builds for S4: Werewolf Tornado, Lightning Storm

Druids are moving up in the world thanks to Werewolf Tornado.

5. Rogue – D Tier

Rogues are not necessarily in a bad place this season. With the right build, they have exceptional potential for taking down bosses easily, and this also translates to other endgame activities. However, their weakness comes in the same place – they’re challenging to play, and you need a very specific build to find value with them.

Strength: Speed Farming, Leveling
Best builds for S4: Penetrating Shot, Barrage

Rogues have fallen into last place this season.

What is the weakest class in Diablo 4?

For this season, Rogue is the weakest class in Diablo 4. While Druid was previously seen as the weakest class, Werewolf Tornado Druid can’t be ignored as one of the best endgame builds.

Rogue is still great for leveling and overall speed, but they generally need special builds to excel in the endgame. Overall, they’re just not in a great place right now, which puts them as the weakest class in Diablo 4 this season.

What is the best overall class in Diablo 4?

Necromancer has become the best class in Diablo 4 Season 4. Thanks to significant buffs to Minions, they have incredible potential for single-target and AoE damage.

Alongside this, they are a fairly simple class to play, so they can be a powerful choice for both casual and hardcore players. Their leveling capabilities are among the best, and they have great potential in Nightmare Dungeons and The Pit thanks to those Minion buffs.

Best Diablo 4 Class for PvP

Barbarians and Sorcerers are the best Diablo 4 classes for PvP in Season 4. Barbarians are very powerful thanks to their kit, and Sorcerers can deal a lot of AoE damage, so if you don’t have high mobility, you’ll be trapped and melted instantly.

Best builds for S4: Ice Shards Sorcerer, Rend Barbarian

Best solo class in Diablo 4

If you’re looking to play Diablo 4 solo, then Rogue is the class you should go for. Although it has a few downsides, you have the ability to place traps and adopt a high-risk high-reward playstyle, which is very rewarding for solo players.

Alternatively, Summoner Necromancer is another option to look at for a great solo build in Season 4. The class is very strong, plus having an army of the undead following you around means you’re never really alone.

Best class for beginners in Diablo 4

If you’re new to Diablo 4, then you should go for Barbarians as your starting class. It has a high damage output and high survivability, plus the skill ceiling isn’t that high either.

So, if you’re looking to have a fun time in the game, but you’re unsure of how the game works, start off with the Barbarian, and then switch to a different class once you’ve got a hang of it.

Will Diablo 4 get a new class?

Yes, Diablo 4 is set to get a new class called the Spiritborn with the Vessel of Hatred DLC that’s scheduled to go live later on this year. This new class is believed to wield a glaive and has a nature theme.

There’s no further information about the class for now, so we’ll have to wait and see how it performs once it’s released.
