Diablo 4 Season of Loot Reborn is bringing a major overhaul in almost every aspect of the game, so here’s how much time you’ll have to explore it before Season 4 ends and when Season 5 starts.

Diablo 4 Season 4 is finally here, and along with a brand-new storyline, players can experiment with new endgame activities, the new Tempering and Masterworking system, and more.

If you’re wondering how much time you have to explore Season of Loot Reborn before Diablo 4 Season 5 starts, here’s everything you need to know.

When will Diablo 4 Season 5 start?

Diablo 4 Season 5 will start on August 6, 2024, at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT / 6 PM BST. This is the date that’s featured in the Diablo 4 Season 4 main menu, which always indicates when the transition between seasons starts.

While Season of the Construct was a month longer than the rest of the seasons, Season of Loot Reborn will be a week shorter than usual.

The Season 5 update should be available a few hours before the new season goes live, and your client will automatically download it unless you’ve disabled auto updates.

When will Diablo 4 Season 4 end?

Diablo 4 Season 4 will end on August 6, 2024, which is the date displayed when entering the Diablo 4 main menu.

Usually, there isn’t any downtime between seasons. Unless Blizzard need to take the servers offline for some emergency maintenance, you will be able to seamlessly transition from Season 4 to Season 5.

Diablo 4 character seasonal reset explained

For every new season in Diablo 4, you need to create a new Seasonal character. While your character progress is completely reset, there are a few things that carry over into the new season. They are as follows:

  • Renown and renown-related rewards
  • Paragon Points
  • Skill Points
  • Potion Charges
  • Obol capacity
  • Altar of Lilith progress

Before creating a new Seasonal character once the new season goes live, Blizzard recommend that you log in with a character you’ve made the most progress on. This will ensure that the above features carry over properly to your new character.

That was everything you need to know about when Diablo 4 Season 4 will end and when Season 5 starts. We’ll be sure to keep this page updated with the latest details, so check back here for more information.
