What Chapter is Fortnite on?

Fortnite was released back in 2017, and over the years the developers have released several Chapters. So what Chapter is Fortnite currently on?

In Fortnite, major storyline changes are marked by a shift in the Chapter, and this only happens once every few seasons.

Over the years, the number of seasons in a given Chapter has been drastically reduced, but the duration of the seasons have rarely crossed the four month mark.

So what is the current Chapter in Fortnite, and will there be a next Chapter after it?

Which is the current Chapter in Fortnite?

At the time of writing this article, Fortnite its currently in Chapter 5. The first Season in the Chapter concluded on March 8, and Season 2 started on the very same day.

While it’s hard to predict the number of Seasons that are going to be in the current Chapter, it’s safe to assume that Chapter 5 will conclude after four Seasons.

Given that each Fortnite Season lasts around three months, a single Chapter will span over 12 months, provided that Epic Games decides to restrict it to four Seasons only.

It’s worth noting that Fortnite OG was a filler between Chapter 4 and 5, but saw the influx of a lot of players because the developers reintroduced some of the most popular weapons and locations from the older Fortnite maps.

Will there be a Fortnite Chapter 6?

As of now, it is believed that Fortnite will be heading into Chapter 6. The developers haven’t mentioned anything about ending the game with the end of Chapter 5.

However, if it does come to that, the developers will let the community know by posting about it on their social media profiles, just like they do with their server downtimes.
