Cross-progression in Apex Legends is something the community have been calling for, so here’s all the latest information you need on the feature.

Since the original launch of Apex Legends in February 2019, the game has made many strides towards catching up with competitors Fortnite and Warzone, including a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version of the game, as well as the introduction of a crossplay system on October 6, 2020 – uniting players across consoles and PC.

One feature that players have been calling for is cross-progression, as it would allow them to merge their accounts across platforms, keeping their inventory and progress.

While it has been a long time coming, Apex Legends Season 19 finally brings an update on the feature, so here’s everything you need to know.

Does Apex Legends have cross-progression?

No, Apex Legends currently does not feature cross-progression. However, the feature is confirmed for Season 19 on October 31. Until then, there is no way to have your rank, profile, cosmetics, Legend unlocks, and skins follow you to another platform.

The only exception is changing between the Origin launcher to Steam on PC, where you will have your data transferred over.

When is cross-progression coming to Apex Legends?

Cross-progression is officially launching in Apex Legends Season 19, which arrives on October 31, 2023.

This means that once Season 19 is live, players will be able to make use of the cross-progression system to merge their accounts to continue progress and use their cosmetics no matter what platform they are on.

The account with the highest level will become your “master account,” and your inventory and progress across all your accounts will merge together on that main account. This is great news for players, as it allows them to continue their progress and use all of the cosmetics they have across all platforms.

The feature has been in development for some years now, but, finally, it will arrive in Season 19. If you wish to know how the feature will work in more detail, check out our piece on Apex Legends cross-progression explained.
