Here’s how to build Xueyi in Honkai Star Rail with the best Light Cone, Relics, and teammates, alongside her materials and more.

Xueyi can be an overlooked character due to her untimely debut in Honkai Star Rail, but many players are trying to get her to take advantage of her powerful abilities.

For those who got Xueyi through the gacha system, here’s how to build her properly with Light Cones, Relics, Planar Ornaments, and more.

Xueyi is a Judge of the Ten-Lords Commission.

Xueyi’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail explained

Xueyi is a four-star Honkai Star Rail Quantum element character in the Path of The Destruction. This type of character specializes in dealing massive amounts of damage to both single-target enemies and AoE (Area of Effect). Xueyi is currently boosted in the first phase of update 2.2 in Robin’s banner.

Here are all of Xueyi’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail:

  • Mara-Sunder Awl (Basic attack) – Deals Quantum DMG to a single enemy.
  • Iniquity Obliteration (Skill) – Deals Quantum DMG to a single enemy and a portion of that Quantum DMG to adjacent enemies.
  • Divine Castigation (Ultimate) – Deals massive Quantum DMG to a single target enemy. This attack ignores Weakness Types and reduces the enemy’s Toughness. When the enemy’s Weakness is Broken, the Quantum Weakness Break effect is triggered. In this attack, the more Toughness is reduced, the higher the DMG will be dealt.
  • Karmic Perpetuation (Talent) – When Xueyi reduces enemy Toughness with attacks, ‘Karma’ will be stacked. The more Toughness is reduced, the more stacks of ‘Karma’ are added, up to 8 stacks. When Xueyi’s allies reduce enemy Toughness with attacks, Xueyi gains 1 stack of ‘Karma.’ When ‘Karma’ reaches the maximum number of stacks, consumes all of it and immediately launches a follow-up attack against an enemy target, dealing DMG 3 times.
  • Summary Execution (Technique) – Immediately attacks the enemy. After entering combat, deals Quantum DMG to all enemies.

Quantum is one of the most popular elements in Honkai Star Rail, so Xueyi can be a great asset to add to many teams, as she’s the only Quantum character in the Path of The Destruction so far. While her abilities are pretty straightforward, her Ultimate and Talent should be the focus of your build.

Since Xueyi is a damage dealer, you should try to enhance her CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate for starters. However, since most of her abilities rely on her Break Effect, you should also keep this in mind. Additionally, enhancing her SPD and her overall Quantum DMG is also important to keep Xueyi as powerful as you can.

Best Relics for Xueyi in Honkai Star Rail

Genius of Brilliant Stars

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Quantum DMG by 10%.
  • Four-piece bonus: When the wearer deals DMG to the target enemy, ignores 10% DEF. If the target enemy has Quantum Weakness, the wearer additionally ignores 10% DEF.

Xueyi is all about dealing damage in Honkai Star Rail, so using a Relic set that improves her Quantum DMG output is a great choice. Genius of Brilliant Stars is the go-to Relic set for Xueyi, and you can choose to equip the full set or combine a two-piece set with another alternative.

Thief of Shooting Meteor

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
  • Four-piece bonus: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, regenerates 3 Energy.

As we mentioned, some of Xueyi’s abilities are based on her Break Effect, so equipping Thief of Shooting Meteor can enhance her kit greatly. Again, you can use the full set or go with a two-piece set to combine its effects with others.

The Ashblazing Grand Duke

  • Two-piece bonus: Increases the DMG dealt by follow-up attacks by 20%.
  • Four-piece bonus: When the wearer uses follow-up attacks, increases the wearer’s ATK by 6% every time the follow-up attack deals DMG. This effect can stack up to 8 times and lasts for 3 turns. This effect is removed the next time the wearer uses a follow-up attack.

The Ashblazing Grand Duke Relic set was added with the 1.5 update and works great with Xueyi. The two-piece set increases the DMG of her follow-up attack, while the complete set further increases her ATK during battle.

While combining any of the three Relic sets can be great for Xueyi, she can also make good use of Musketeer of Wild Wheat, if you don’t have better alternatives.

Best Planar Ornament for Xueyi in Honkai Star Rail

Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is the best Planar Ornament for Xueyi in Honkai Star Rail because it increases her Break Effect by 16%, and when her SPD reaches 145 or higher, her Break Effect increases again by an extra 20%. This can greatly enhance some of Xueyi’s most important abilities, so keep that in mind.

If you’re looking for alternatives, however, you can go with Space Sealing Station. This Planar Ornament increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%, and when the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, ATK increases by an extra 12%. Since Xueyi is a damage dealer, this Planar Ornament works great with her kit.

Lastly, Celestial Differentiator is another viable option for Xueyi because it can increase her CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate. While the other Planar Ornaments are best suited for her, this is an interesting option for those looking to deal as much DMG as they can with Xueyi’s abilities.

Best Light Cone for Xueyi in Honkai Star Rail

On the Fall of an Aeon

Most Destruction Light Cones will work great with Xueyi in Honkai Star Rail, but On the Fall of an Aeon is the best one for her. This Light Cone increases Xueyi’s ATK by up to 16% whenever she attacks, up to 4 times. What’s more, when she inflicts Weakness Break on enemies, her DMG increases by up to 24% for 2 turns.

Considering Xueyi’s kit, this is the best Light Cone you can get to enhance her abilities. Do keep in mind that you can choose other alternatives that complement your playstyle in other ways.

Something Irreplaceable

Clara’s Light Cone increases the wearer’s ATK by up to 40%, which is great for Xueyi and any other DMG dealer. Additionally, when the wearer defeats an enemy or is hit, it immediately restores HP. At the same time, the wearer’s DMG increases by up to 40% until the end of their next turn.

While this effect cannot stack and can only be triggered one time per turn, that’s more than enough to let Xueyi unleash some serious DMG.

Under the Blue Sky

This Light Cone features Xueyi, so it’s no wonder it works well with her. Under the Blue Sky increases the wearer’s ATK by up to 32%, and when the wearer defeats an enemy, their CRIT Rate increases by up to 24% for 3 turns. If you improved Xueyi’s Break Effect with Relics and Planar Ornaments, you can pick this Light Cone to enhance the rest of her main stats to achieve extremely powerful attacks.

Best Honkai Star Rail teams for Xueyi

Xueyi can be the main DPS on your Honkai Star Rail team, although you can also pick her as Sub DPS alongside a character in the Path of The Hunt.

The ideal team for Xueyi should be mono-Quantum and include Seele as the main DPS, Fu Xuan as shielder/healer, and Silver Wolf as support to apply Quantum Weakness to enemies that don’t have it. However, if you’re aiming for a free-to-play composition, you can work with the Fire Trailblazer, Natasha, and Yukong.
