ActivisionThe Season 1 update brings weapons and balances the existing ones.
With the launch of MW3, players received plenty of new weapons to discover, and more are on the way with the Season 1 update that also brings Warzone’s integration. Here are all the new weapons in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1.
A new era of Warzone is set to debut alongside Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3, and the major content drop will bring new maps, modes, and most importantly, new weapons.
The arsenal at players’ disposal is extensive, given that MW3 introduced plenty of weapons at launch, and every weapon from MW2 was also carried forward to the sequel. This arsenal is set to grow further in Season 1.
Here’s every new weapon in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1.
Warzone & MW3 Season 1 new weapons
Five new weapons will make their way to Modern Warfare 3 and debut in Warzone throughout Season 1. Three of those five will be available with the Season 1 update, while the remaining two will arrive in-season.
Let’s take a look at all of the new weapons coming to Warzone and MW3 Season 1.
XRK Stalker Sniper Rifle
Modern Warfare 3 is set to receive an addition to the Sniper Rifle category, increasing the options from three to four. The XRK Stalker will diversify the options and could even become the go-to choice for quickscoping: “Improve its handling capabilities to become a quick-scoping menace.”
To unlock the XRK in MW3 and Warzone, players will need to reach Sector A4 of the Season 1 Battle Pass.
RAM-7 Assault Rifle
The RAM-7 has a decent chance to make its way into the MW3 meta following the Season 1 update. The classic CoD weapon may even be viable in Warzone, as the new Assault Rifle‘s lightweight nature will make it a great Sniper support weapon.
Players will be able to unlock the RAM-7 through Sector A7 of the Season 1 Battle Pass.
Stormender Launcher
The Stormender will be available to unlock through Sector A12 of the MW3 and Warzone Season 1 Battle Pass. This Launcher uses a localized EMP to shock and confuse targets. While the damage to Operators will be minimal, you can take out Equipment and disable devices with the Stormender.
That’s not all, as the devs confirmed it can also counter Killstreaks: “This brand-new weapon has the power to shoot down specific Killstreaks and take out drones with its lock-on capabilities.”
HRM-9 SMG (in-season)
The HRM-9 is one of two weapons that won’t be available on December 6 with the Season 1 update. Instead, the nimble SMG will make its way to MW3 and Warzone sometime during the season. This usually points toward the Season 1 Reloaded update, but the devs haven’t confirmed this yet.
We do know that players will need to unlock the HRM-9 through an Armory Unlock challenge. The SMG is expected to boast a fast fire rate and excellent mobility.
TAQ Evolvere (in-season)
The TAQ-Evolvere rounds out the list of new weapons coming to MW3 and Warzone. You can expect the LMG to arrive in-season, but the devs haven’t revealed its unlock method as of yet. However, they did describe the TAQ-Evolvere as a “versatile” LMG, so the new weapon could be a great option for plenty of players.
