XDefiant Season 1 will bring new content to the game after a preseason period post-launch. here’s everything you can expect to see in Season 1 of XDefiant, including the release date and new Faction.

XDefiant is officially arriving on May 21, 2024, after many delays and playtests. The game provides a classic arena shooter experience similar to Call of Duty multiplayer with aspects of hero shooters like Apex Legends thanks to the Factions.

Just as these games have seasonal content updates, XDefiant will also follow suit, as the devs have provided details on what to expect for Year 1 of Ubisoft’s arena shooter. So, here are all the details you need to know about XDefiant Season 1, including the release date and more.

XDefiant Season 1 release date

We expect Season 1 of XDefiant to launch on July 2, 2024, as the devs announced it will arrive six weeks after a preseason period for the game that begins on May 21.

New seasons will arrive every 3 months according to the XDefiant blog, and each update will bring a load of new content.

XDefiant Season 1 content

XDefiant Season 1 will bring the following content to the game:

  • New Faction – Ruby
  • 3 new weapons
  • 3 new maps
  • 90 tier Battle Pass
xdefiant year 1 roadmap

We don’t yet know any details about the new Faction apart from its codename, Ruby. Each Faction is inspired by a Ubisoft franchise, so perhaps the red color of Ruby is a hint for what franchise the Faction will be.

The 90-tier Battle Pass will likely feature a host of new cosmetic items for the game, from character and weapon skins to various other customization options for players. As for the new weapons and maps, we currently don’t have any details.

Ubisoft did also mention a competitive Ranked Mode and Private Matches in the blog, so perhaps these will also arrive in Season 1.

Once we know more about the Faction, new weapons, maps, and Battle Pass, we’ll be sure to update this piece so stay tuned. For now, check out:
