Warzone Season 3 Reloaded brought weapon buffs and nerfs that drastically altered the SMG landscape. The once dominant HRM-9 is no longer the top SMG option in Warzone, leaving the throne vacant for a new weapon to emerge.

Best meta Warzone SMGs

5. FJX Horus

New weapons are usually quick to climb up the meta, but the FJX Horus has yet to hit the top spot.

The FJX Horus maintains its spot at five following the Season 3 Reloaded update. Given that the weapon only recently arrived at the start of Season 3, it avoided any nerfs with the mid-season update.

The SMG is a well-rounded option for close-range engagements. While its stats aren’t as impressive as the SMGs that top our list, it offers decent mobility, fire rate, and damage range.

4. WSP Swarm

The WSP Swarm was considered the best SMG before a massive nerf knocked it down on January 19.

Despite being ranked as the best SMG previously, several nerfs pushed the WSP Swarm slightly down this list. However, this gun still has a rapid-fire rate and top-tier mobility, managing to rip through opponents with ease. The fact that it wasn’t nerfed in the Season 3 Reloaded update has allowed it to close the gap between the top SMGs in Warzone.

3. HRM-9

The HRM-9 remains an incredibly easy weapon to use in Warzone.

Due to massive damage nerfs at the start of Season 3 Reloaded, the HRM-9 is no longer the best SMG in Warzone. The weapon dominated throughout Season 3 before nerfs knocked it down a few spots.

The HRM-9 no longer has the damage profile to compete with the top two SMGs, but its incredible mobility and ease of use earn it the third spot on this list.

2. Striker 9

There’s an argument to be made for the Striker 9 being the best SMG in Warzone, and while we have it ranked in second place, the competition for the top spot is fierce.

You can’t go wrong with the Striker 9, thanks to its top tier damage range and speedy handling. Ultimately, it feels like a very different weapon than the SMG ranked in the top spot, so we suggest figuring out which one works best for you.

1. WSP-9 – Best SMG in Warzone

The WSP-9 resembles the classic Uzi SMG in Warzone.

The WSP-9 claims the title of best SMG in Warzone as of Season 3 Reloaded. It climbed up to the top spot following nerfs to its competition. While the mid-season update didn’t bring a huge buff to the WSP-9, it did get a welcome boost to its sprint to fire speed.

Akin to the iconic Uzi, this gun isn’t the easiest to handle, but its speed and TTK when it comes to close-range fights are at the top of the pack when it comes to SMGs in Warzone.
