How to get Chewbacca’s Wookie Bowcaster in Fortnite

The Fortnite x Star Wars event brings a ton of new content to the game, including Chewbecca’s Bowcaster. So, here’s how you can get the Wookie Bowcaster in Fortnite.

Fortnite update 29.40 has brought a Star Wars-themed makeover to the Island. Arriving just in time for May the 4th, the update introduces weapons, character skins, and more to the BR that will be familiar to fans of the series. An example of this is the Wookie Bowcaster, wielded by Han Solo’s sidekick Chewbacca.

Both the weapon and Chewie are present in the game. On that note, here’s how to get the Wookie Bowcaster in Fortnite.

What is Chewbacca’s Wookie Bowcaster in Fortnite?

Chewbacca’s Wookie Bowcaster is a Mythic weapon in Fortnite. To match its special rarity, the weapon comes with two fire modes. It can fire individual quarrels quickly or you can hold the fire button to charge it up for a more powerful, explosive shot. The single shot dishes out 55 body damage while the charged explosive shot deals 120 damage.

The Bowcaster is a solid weapon and a great alternative to the DMR. It’s best suited for medium-range combat, and unlike the DMR you can even get away with near misses as the weapon offers a bit of splash damage.

Fortnite: How to get Wookie Bowcaster

The only surefire way to get a Wookie Bowcaster in Fortnite is by rescuing Chewbacca from an Imperial Roadblock. The beloved character is on the Island as an interactable NPC although he’s held hostage by the Empire at various roadblocks. If you rescue him, he’ll join you in battle and reward you with a Bowcaster. It’s important to note that the Imperial Roadblock he’s held at will change every day.

Here are all the Imperial Roadblocks in Fortnite:

• South of Lavish Lair
• On the island beyond Rebel’s Roost
• Southeast of Classy Courts
• South of Reckless Railways
• East of Snooty Steps
• West of Snooty Steps

The weapon can also be looted from Imperial Chests found at Imperial Roadblocks across the map. These chests also contain other special items instead of the Bowcaster, like the E-11 Blasters. But since there are multiple chests at each roadblock, the chance of getting the Bowcaster remains pretty high.
