Diablo 4 is filled with demonic bosses that you can focus on to get Unique items, but Duriel is the most popular. Here’s how to summon and defeat Duriel, Lord of Pain, in Diablo 4.

Getting the perfect build in Diablo 4 can be difficult if you don’t focus on farming the best Legendary items and affixes. While Season 4 has changed the drop rates so you could get them from other bosses, Duriel remains the most popular to farm Uber Uniques.

How to prepare for Duriel boss fight in Diablo 4

Since Duriel is a difficult boss fight, we recommend that you upgrade your armor and ensure that your gear isn’t damaged in Diablo 4. Duriel uses poison attacks, so it will come in handy to keep a few elixirs on you to resist poison effects.

The arena is surrounded by eggs containing Plague Maggots, and we recommend that you break all of these eggs so that you don’t find yourself overwhelmed in this boss fight. This way, you’ll be able to focus your attention on your main opponent.

You’ll first battle Duriel in Act 6 of Diablo 4.

How to defeat Duriel in Diablo 4

Duriel will use his big pincers to try to stab you from the front so the best way to attack him is to land a few hits beneath and around him. He will try to melee you with a claw attack, and you’ll need to be ready to dodge this attack. This is made easier when you use your horse to boost mobility.

The Lord of Pain will also dig holes and then appear out of them at different sides of the area. So, you’ll need to make sure that you carefully plan and land your shots before he moves again. Keep hitting from the sides or underneath until he’s down.

Just keep these tips in mind, and you’ll be able to defeat Duriel, Lord of Pain quickly.

Where to find Duriel in Diablo 4?

In Diablo 4, you can only find Duriel inside the Gaping Crevasse Dungeon in Gea Kul (Kehjistan region). Keep in mind that you’ll only be able to get to this location if you’re on World Tier 4.

You’ll find Duriel’s Dungeon, Gaping Crevasse, south of Kehjistan.

How to summon Uber Duriel in Diablo 4

You can summon Uber Duriel in Diablo 4 by collecting two Mucus-Slick Eggs (obtained by defeating the Echo of Varshan) and two Shards of Agony (collected after defeating Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint). After getting these materials, you’ll need to bring them to the Gaping Crevasse in Kehjistan.

If you want to summon Torment Uber Duriel instead, you’ll need six Mucus-Slick Eggs, six Shards of Agony, and 2 Stygian Stones.
