Who is Aalto in Wuthering Waves?

Wuthering Waves‘ Aalto is described as a mysterious Information Broker that’s part of Black Shores. He has become close with Encore, but his allegiance seems to be with whoever offers more money.

Aalto is an Aero Congenital Resonator in Wuthering Waves and uses Pistols as its main weapon. He makes his bullets go through the mist to inflict more damage from a safe distance with his many abilities.

Thanks to different Wuthering Waves beta tests, we know all of Aalto’s abilities in the game:

Half Truths (Basic Attack) – Fires up to 5 consecutive shots, dealing Aero DMG. Basic Attack 4 will spread the ‘Mist’ forward, which lasts for 1.5 seconds.
- Heavy Attack – Enters the aiming state for a more powerful shot. After charging finishes, deals Aero DMG.
- Mid-air Attack – Aalto consumes Stamina to perform consecutive shots at the target in mid-air.
- Dodge Counter – Deals Aero DMG.
Shift Trick (Resonance Skill) – Casts ‘Mist’ and 1 ‘Mist Avatar’ to taunt the surrounding targets. The avatars inherit a portion of Aalto’s HP and generate 6 Mist Bullets around them, dealing Aero DMG.
Flower in the Mist (Resonance Liberation) – Generates a ‘Gate of Quandary’ in front of Aalto, dealing Aero DMG. When bullets pass through the ‘Gate of Quandary’, ATK is increased. ‘Gate of Quandary’ lasts for 10s.
Misty Cover (Forte Circuit) – When Aalto passes through ‘Mist’ or ‘Gate of Quandary’, he enters ‘Mistcloak Dash.’
- Mistcloak Dash – Movement speed increases. During this period, ‘Mist Drops’ are continuously consumed. For each ‘Mist Drop’ consumed, 1 Resonance Skill Mist Missile is generated.
- Mist Drops – Aalto can hold up to 6 Mist Drops. When Basic Attack or Mid-air Attack passes through ‘Mist’ and hits the target, 1 ‘Mist Drop’ is recovered.
Feint Shot (Intro Skill) – Aalto shows up out of thin air to perform rapid continuous shooting dealing Aero damage.
Dissolving Mist (Outro Skill) – The next character gains 23% Aero DMG Deepen for 14 seconds or until the character is switched off field.
Perfect Performance (Inherent Skill) – Aalto’s Heavy Attack will always critically hit once every 30 seconds.
Mid-game Break (Inherent Skill) – Aalto will continuously recover Stamina when he is in the Mistcloak Dash state.

Aalto’s kit is pretty straightforward, so you shouldn’t have trouble mastering his abilities. However, since he’s not a five-star unit, you might need another DPS in your party to inflict enough damage and create elemental reactions in battle.
