Yinlin is one of the limited banner characters in Wuthering Waves, and if you’re wondering about her kit and materials, here’s all you need to know. 

Not long to go until the May 22 release of Wuthering Waves, and the open-world RPG is likely to start with Jiyan as the featured character in the limited banner. Past that, it’ll be Yinlin’s turn — the only other confirmed limited character for the game.

Who is Yinlin in Wuthering Waves?

Described as someone who “possesses a heart of gold,” Yinlin in Wuthering Waves works in secret to uncover the hidden crimes in Jinzhou. Little else is known about her, other than the fact that she was expelled from her position as a patroller by the Public Security Bureau.

The flamboyant lady and her morbid-looking puppet can be seen in the game pursuing hidden evils in secrecy.

When does Yinlin arrive in Wuthering Waves?

Kuro Games have not shared any details on Yinlin’s release in Wuthering Waves. However, given that she is the one of the only two limited banner 5-star characters, we expect her to arrive in phase 2 of version 1.0, after Jiyan’s banner ends. 

We also don’t know how long each phase in Wuthering Waves lasts, but we’ll be sure to update whenever we learn the exact date for Yinlin’s release.

In Wuthering Waves, Yinlin is a five-star Electro Resonator and will wield a Rectifier to displace charges. 

Yinlin upgrade materials

Currently, we only know about two materials for upgrading Yinlin in Wuthering Waves, including: 

• Character upgrade: Coriolus
• Talent upgrade: Whispering Cores

Wuthering Waves Yinlin kit & abilities

Yinlin in Wuthering Waves is a damage dealer and excels in a sub-DPS role. Here are the full details about her kit:

• Basic Attack (Zapstring’s Dance) – Perform up to 4 attacks using her puppet, Zapstring, causing Electro DMG.
  • Heavy Attack: Consumes stamina and performs a heavy attack dealing Electro DMG with her puppet.
  • Mid-air attack: Retrieves the puppet Zapstring and crashes to the ground, causing Electro damage.
  • Dodge Counter – Use Basic Attack after a successful Dodge to attack the target deal Electro damage and leave a Sinner’s Mark on the enemy.
• Resonance Skill (Magnetic Roar) – After using her Skill, her puppet will deal Electro DMG, and Yinlin will enter a ‘Magnetic State.’
  • During the Magnetic State, Yinlin’s Basic Attack and Evasion Attack will be enhanced, triggering Judgment Attack when dealing damage.
  • Lightning Execution: Deals Electro damage once, ending the Magnetic State. When hitting a target with the Sinner’s Mark, it deals extra damage to the target.
• Resonance Liberation (Sky-breaking Thunder Strike) – Summons her puppet who’ll deal Electro DMG. Sinner’s Mark will be applied to all targets that are hit with her Liberation.
• Forte Circuit (Thousand Faces)
  • When Yinlin’s Judgment Points are full, her Heavy Attack is replaced by Thousand Faces. It consumes all Judgment Points and causes wide-range Electro damage. When hitting a target carrying a Sinner’s Mark, the Sinner’s Mark is replaced by a Punishment Mark, lasting for 18 seconds
  • When a target carrying a Punishment Mark is damaged, Judgement Thunder will fall, causing Electro damage to all targets carrying a Punishment Mark. It be triggered up to once per second.
• Intro Skill (Silversnow) – Use the puppet to attack, dealing AoE Electro damage.
• Outro Skill (Target Focus) – Electro damage is increased by 20%, Resonance Liberation damage bonus is increased by 25%, and the effect lasts for 14 seconds or the Character exits.
• Passives: 
  • After using the Resonance Skill, the CRIT RATE is increased by 15%, lasting 5 seconds.
  • The damage of the Resonance Skill’s Lightning Execution hitting a target with the Sin Binding Mark is increased by 10%, and the attack is increased by 10%.

Whenever Yinlin’s Basic Attack and Resonance Skill will hit an enemy, it’ll net her Judgment Points.
