Direct vehicle control in Men of War 2

Units in Men of War 2 have two types of controls, and direct control is the best way to operate every unit to its maximum potential. So, here’s how to directly control your units in Men of War 2.

In Men of War 2 players will need to command their troops to take, maintain, and defend territory on huge realistic maps. Each faction in the game has different units, but all of them can be controlled directly.

So, here’s how you can take direct control of your units in Men of War 2, including Vehicles, Artillery, and Infantry.

How to enter direct control mode in Men of War 2

To enter direct control mode in Men of War 2, select a unit and press (E) or (Left CTRL). This will allow you to move units using the WASD controls instead of point-and-click and will offer you direct control of their abilities, inventory, and aiming systems.

Infantry units move with the directional keys (or WASD) and have access to several abilities, like switching weapons, digging ditches and trenches, fortifying positions, and throwing grenades.

Different units have different skills you can wield, but most of them have a reasonable number of battle mechanics, including melee combat, throwing knives, and more.

Vehicle and Artillery units are similar to Infantry in terms of direct control, as they also move using WASD, and aim with the right mouse button while selecting a target. The only thing you need to know is that you need to manually switch from the driver position to the shooter position if you want to control certain vehicle weapons.

In the case of Artillery, you’ll need to aim manually using similar controls, and the WASD keys, pointing a reticle to the place you want to shoot at. Bombardment, direct fire, and other shooting skills will appear highlighted in the hot-bar below.

That’s how you can take direct control of your units in Men of War 2. For more guides and tips about this RTS, you can check out the following guides:
