Genshin Impact version 5.0: Release date, leaked Natlan details, character level increased, more
HoYoverseVersion 5.0 will see Genshin Impact move to its sixth major region, Natlan. It is expected to be a massive patch, and here is everything leaked about the update so far.
Starting with version 5.0, Genshin Impact will bid adieu to the endless farce and theatrics of Fontaine, as HoYoverse’s open-world RPG will begin to write a new chapter in a land that is home to dragons, ruled by the God of War, Murata.
There is still a fair bit of time for 5.0 and Natlan’s release, as we’re yet to make it into version 4.7, but leaks have already started to pop up.
So, here is what the next big chapter in Genshin Impact has in store, according to leaks.
- Genshin Impact version 5.0 release date
- Genshin Impact version 5.0 leaked map & exploration details
- Genshin Impact version 5.0 new character levels
Genshin Impact version 5.0 release date
Genshin Impact version 5.0 will be released on August 28, 2024.
This is based on the game’s current cycle of new versions every six weeks, and with 4.8 being the last update in 4.X versions, 5.0 will go live on August 28. Of course, this is also based on the assumption that there are no unexpected delays. If there are any, we’ll be sure to update you.
Genshin Impact version 5.0 leaked map & exploaration details
In the Teyvat preview, HoYoverse confirmed that 5.0 will bring Natlan, and begin the chapter in the Archon quest, Act 6: Incandescent Ode of Resurrection.
In terms of the map size, according to the leaks, Natlan in 5.0 will be similar to version 3.1’s desert map. The 3.1 update added three major areas to Sumeru’s desert: Land of Lower Setekh, Land of Upper Setekh, and Hypostyle Desert.
Natlan is also leaked to bring several new additions to explorations in ridable mounts and a ‘Quick Exploration’ mechanic. It is unclear what was implied by Quick Exploration, but it could be something similar to the ziplines we’ve had in each major added region, starting with Thunder Sphere in Inazuma.
Elsewhere, another leak suggested that we can ride dragons in 5.0, and a preview of everything will be available in 4.8’s event where we can ride Durin.
Genshin Impact version 5.0 leaked new character levels
Leaks suggest version 5.0 of Genshin Impact will increase the maximum level of characters to 100, up from the current 90. Finer details on it, like the materials needed and if it’ll also provide ascension and stats bonuses, are still unknown.
Outside of these, 5.0 is also said to add Deepwood Memories, Gilded Dreams, Desert Pavilion Chronicles, and Flower of Paradise Lost to the Artifact strongbox.
Deepwood Memories is best for Dendro characters, as 2PC gives Dendro a DMG bonus and reduces an opponent’s Dendro RES at 4PC. Both Flower of Paradise Lost and Gilded Dreams provide 80 EM as a 2-piece set bonus, and Desert Pavilion Chronicle is for Anemo DPS as it has a 15% Anemo DMG bonus at 2PC and 4PC, giving attack speed and bonus to charged, plunging, and normal attacks.
That’s everything leaked and confirmed about version 5.0 of Genshin Impact. Whenever there are more details, we’ll be sure to update you. Until then, for more on the game, check out:
