Who is Jiaoqiu in Honkai Star Rail?

Jiaoqiu is described as a Foxian male with pink hair, according to Honkai Star Rail leaks. The character wasn’t mentioned in the game yet, so we’ll have to wait until HoYoverse officially introduce him.

Leaks suggest players will go back to the Xianzhou after the Penacony storyline, just like Genshin Impact keeps adding areas and activities in Liyue every year.

Does Jiaoqiu have a release date in Honkai Star Rail?

No, HoYoverse haven’t revealed Jiaoqiu’s release date yet, but leaks suggest he’ll debut with the Honkai Star Rail 2.4 update that’s coming in August 2024.

Jiaoqiu leaked abilities in Honkai Star Rail

According to leaks, Jiaoqiu will be a Fire element character in the Path of The Nihility in Honkai Star Rail. These characters specialize in applying debuffs on enemies, but it seems Jiaoqiu will bring new elements to the role.

Here’s Jiaoqiu’s kit, according to leaks:

• Basic ATK – Deals Fire DMG to a single target and can apply 1 stack of Flavour to the enemy.
• Skill – Deals Fire DMG to a single target and adjacent enemies, with a chance of applying 1 stack of Flavour to targets. The Base Chance to apply Flavour is higher for the center target than the adjacent ones.
• Ultimate – Applies Aura on himself for a couple of turns. Deals Fire DMG to all targets, with the chance of applying 1 stack of Flavour.
• Talent – Flavour: Decreases DEF, is stackable, and has a limit.
  • Aura: The remaining duration decreases by 1 at the start of Jiaoqiu’s turn. During Aura, at the start of every ally’s turn, this ally heals for a certain amount. Additionally, during Aura, all enemies take increased Ultimate DMG.
  • Extra Effect: When Jiaoqiu is on the field, all enemies will be inflicted with an unknown debuff.

Some leakers are describing Jiaoqiu as a five-star Pela, with a focus on debuffs that could work extremely well alongside Acheron. And while Jiaoqiu has some healing capabilities, leakers pointed out that it’s not enough to replace a healer in the team, so keep that in mind.
