F1 24 is nearing its May 31 release, and it’ll bring all the staples you’d expect plus a revamped career mode. VR has always been one of the other most-requested features in any racing game, and a sim racer like F1 is the perfect title to get behind the wheel.

So, here’s all you need to know about F1 24 VR support for PC and PlayStation.

Can you play F1 24 with VR on PC?

Yes, F1 24 will have full VR support for PC. In terms of all compatible headsets, EA Sports have yet to share any list, but these were the supported VR for F1 23, as per the official forum post:

Oculus Quest 2 and Link Cable (Meta Quest 2)
Oculus Rift S
HTC Vive
HTC Vive Cosmos

Other headsets that are compatible with the recent Codemasters, EA Sports WRC, that could receive official support are:

Meta Quest 3
HTC Vive Pro 2

Remember, this list is based on past titles and older VR headsets may not be supported this time around. Of course, even if some VR headsets are not mentioned in the official list, that doesn’t mean you can’t play them at all, especially if they are just as capable. But with them not being officially compatible the experience may be subpar.

F1 22 and F1 23 both featured VR modes.

Does F1 24 support PSVR 2?

No, F1 24 will not support PSVR on launch, and the chances of a release in the future are slim as well.

In their media briefing (as reported by RacingGames.gg), Codemasters said that the PSVR support is an “ongoing conversation.” Codemasters’ Senior Creative Director, Lee Mather, said, “We’re continuing with our PC support for PC. Not currently for PSVR2 – that’s still an ongoing conversation, but very much on PC.”

This means Gran Turismo will remain the only major racing game for PSVR players, and despite its overwhelmingly positive reception, third-party developers don’t fancy PSVR support yet.
